Life as a Pirate has been pursued, as far back as 2nd century BC, by both men and women all around the world who desired freedom and adventure. If their clothing isn’t enough to have them sand out in a crowd, then details like the traditional eye-patch, worn by Pirates to help their eyes quickly adjust to the darkness belowdecks, is sure to do the trick. ​Sailing the high seas often meant that pirates were at sea for long periods of time. To keep everyone entertained, they would often dress-up in costumes and put on plays for the rest of the crew.
