Visiting a Zoo, you can see these wonderful workers doing anything from feeding the animals and cleaning the enclosures to educating tourists and passing just a little bit of their knowledge on. To care for each animal properly, they need to learn a wealth of knowledge covering the specific needs of each animal – from their preference in environment and temperatures to their specific diet and feeding times.

Beautician & Hairdresser ‘Trims and Treatments Galore dress-up’!

Wearing our Pink Beauticians tunic, it is easy to imagine your career taking flight at the Salon of Hair & Beauty! With the fuchsia trim and functioning pockets filled with a plethora of beauty tool print graphics, you can immerse yourself, styling anything from hair to cosmetics, during pretend play.

The importance of beauty treatments can be traced back through history as far back as the Ice Age, with Archaeologists finding evidence of hair care having been practiced by early humans, often by using sharpened flint stones or oyster shells to cut and style hair. The use of cosmetics can also be traced to Ancient Egypt and China where make-up and nail art were used to demonstrate their wealth. However, this was not the only use of beauty treatments. Before going into war, warriors of Babylon would colour their nails and curl their hair. The responsibilities of a Beautician range vastly from hair care, where they trim, colour and texture hair, to cosmetic art and skin care.
